Read Around the Block










Read Around the Block is a summer-long literacy initiative hosted by the College Hill Forum’s Education Committee. Our goal is to encourage the community to explore neighborhood libraries and bookstores while celebrating the joy of reading.

Launched in July 2025, Read Around the Block brings readers of all ages together through a variety of activities and events within the College Hill neighborhood. In its first year, Read Around the Block welcomed over 100 participants and handed out over 400 books!

How to Participate:

1. Pick up a Passport at any Read Around the Block event, at participating Little Free Libraries, or from a Community partner.

2. Join the CHF at the Read Around the Block Kick-off Party on June 1st!

3. Visit all the participating Little Free Libraries and Community partners shown on the Interactive Map, and collect a stickers from each stop.

4. Attend Read Around the Block events held throughout the summer program.

5. Keep track of the books you read during the summer using the 2026 Reading Log to earn raffle tickets for the Wrap Party on August 8th!

6. Come to the Wrap Party on August 8th to celebrate a summer full of reading and connecting with others! Turn in your completed Passport and Reading Log in exchange for prizes! Enjoy music, crafts, games, and chances to win prizes with the College Hill Forum.
